Columbia, SC — I think an armed police officer in every school would be a waste of money. I suggest placing a child psychiatry major trained to be a guidance counselor, which many schools already have, in every school.
Employing them to help the disturbed children live normal lives would be less expensive and of greater value to all of society in the long run.
