Columbia, SC — Being a Boston boy, I fully understand why we’re blessed with the Second Amendment.
Despite all the hoo-hah about July 4, the Revolutionary War actually started on April 19, 1775, when about 500 British soldiers marched on Concord, Mass., attempting to confiscate arms and munitions stored there. The local citizens let them know their sympathies, and sent them skulking back to Boston.
Our Founding Fathers were fully aware of the importance of citizens having the right to protect themselves.
