J. Milton Pope has joined Parker Poe Consulting as principal in charge of a new local government division. The new division will offer management consulting, project management and referendum planning to city and county governments throughout South Carolina and North Carolina. The division also will assist corporate clients in the areas of permits, planning and zoning and governmental relations. Pope retired in June after six years as Richland County administrator. He joined Richland County in 1998 as one of three assistant county administrators after six years as government affairs liaison for the Municipal Association of South Carolina.
