Matt and Ted Lee, a.k.a. the Lee Brothers, grew up in Charleston and made a name for themselves when they founded The Lee Bros. Boiled Peanuts Catalogue, a company that shipped traditional Southern foods such as stone-ground grits and boiled peanuts to displaced Southerners around the country. They have since become contributing food writers for Food&Wine and Bon Appetit magazines and The New York Times, as well as noted cookbook authors. The brothers entertained a sold-out audience Monday night at Charleston Cooks at Cross Hill Market. They prepared dishes from their latest cookbook, The Lee Bros. Charleston Kitchen. On March 15, Matt and Ted will be at Barnes & Noble in Harbison 3:30-4:30 p.m. and at Books on Broad in Camden, 5:30-7 p.m.
