Dutch Fork welcomes eight regulars back to the fold for the 2013 baseball season.

The list of veterans includes junior middle infielder Derek Olenchuk, senior pitcher-outfielder Mark Kingsmore, senior outfielder-pitcher Ethan Hinkle, senior pitcher Conner Davis, senior catcher Tyler Lancaster, senior third baseman Nic Pappas, sophomore outfielder-pitcher Lane Ecton and junior outfielder-pitcher Erik Horton.

Senior middle infielder Will Thomas and sophomore pitcher Tate Fant are newcomers to watch, according to coach Jonathon Johnson.

The Silver Foxes opened Region 5-3A play with a 4-2, eight-inning loss to South Aiken. The next conference game is Friday at home against Aiken. In between, the busy first week schedule includes non-regions home games against archrival Irmo (Wednesday) and Spring Valley (Thursday).
