Published: March 7, 2013

— Deputies are looking for a man who robbed a convenience store in Lower Richland.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said the suspect, armed with a handgun, walked into the Kangaroo Gas Station, 7800 Garners Ferry Road, around 5:30 a.m. Sunday and forced the clerk to put money into a bag. He then told the clerk to go to the back of the store as he fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a black male with a New York accent, possibly 5’ 6” tall, about 150 pounds, wearing a grey ski mask (with dread locks sticking out from underneath), off- white latex gloves, black coat with a fur trimmed hood, and dark denim jeans.
