It’s time again for growing companies in South Carolina to apply to Inc. magazine’s 500/5000 list.
Based on three years of company financials, Inc. painstakingly ranks and publishes a widely read annual roster of 5,000 U.S.-based, privately held companies experiencing the most year-over-year revenue growth. The top 10 percent are known as the Inc. 500 — the very fastest-growing companies in America.
Companies from all 50 states are submitting their applications now at www.inc.com/inc5000apply.
Four years ago, no S.C. companies made the list. However, over the past three years, growing companies from Greenville to Columbia to Charleston have come forward to compete for national rankings.
In 2012, 44 Palmetto State companies were able to make the list.
Being named to the Inc. 500/5000 is a solid economic growth strategy, especially in today’s global marketplace. It proves just how innovative and hard-working S.C. businesses, job creators, leadership and employee teams are.
Business owners and CEOs of newly ranked Inc. 500/5000 companies have bolstered their leadership influence and earnings power. Peter Gasca, CEO of Wild Creations in Myrtle Beach –– one of South Carolina’s fastest-growing companies and a member of the elite Inc. 500 –– now writes regularly for Inc.
For four years, our company has worked pro bono to advance this annual business-growth strategy into every nook and cranny of South Carolina. Will your company make this year’s list? The deadline is April 30. The 2013 list will be published in late August.
