Everything that was said in the Feb. 18 article, “Deaths spur look at mo-ped rules,” is true, as I’ve had several occasions of seeing accidents or near-misses with mo-peds. I believe that mo-ped operators should be required to have a driver’s license or a provision to their license as motorcycle riders do with their regular driver’s licenses.

They also should be held to the same rules of the road as all drivers. They should have a tag and registration and pay taxes for our roads since they are using them. This would help maintain our roads, which are in need of repair.
