Two international standouts and two young pros have committed to play in this year's RBC Heritage.
Nicolas Colsaerts, David Lynn, Luke Guthrie and Michael Thompson will be playing in the 45th annual event, taking place April 15-21, 2013 at the Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island.
Colsaerts, known as the "Belgian Bomber" for his long drives, is ranked 40th in the World Golf Rankings. Earlier this year, he hit a massive 419-yard drive at the Volvo Champions on the European Tour and went on to finish tied for ninth.
The Brussels, Belgium native represented Europe in the 2012 Ryder Cup, beat Justin Rose and Bill Haas before losing to Matt Kuchar in the third round at the Accenture Match Play Championship and has four international victories. He will be competing at Harbour Town for the first time.
Lynn has played professional golf since 1995 and has two international victories. He placed second at the 2012 PGA Championship at Kiawah Island. The British native recently tied for fourth at The Honda Classic and will be making his first start at the RBC Heritage.
Guthrie has two top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour in 2013. The Chicagoan finished third at The Honda Classic. He joined the PGA Tour last year after graduating from llinois and will be making his first start at the RBC Heritage.
Thompson's recent win at The Honda Classic pushed him to 11th in the FedEx Cup Rankings. The Alabama graduate will be competing for the third time at Harbour Town.
The RBC Heritage is the only PGA Tour event in South Carolina and has been played at the Harbour Town Golf Links since 1969.
The Heritage Classic Foundation, the general tournament sponsor, distributes the proceeds from the tournament to hundreds of nonprofit organizations. Since it was founded as a 501 (c)(3) in 1987, the Foundation has donated more than $23.5 million to people in need.
