St. Patrick’s Day Festival road and intersection closings

— The city of Columbia began closing some roads Friday to allow organizers to prepare for Five Points’ annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival, set for 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.

The 700 block of Santee Avenue and the 600 block of Harden Street was closed from 5 p.m. Friday until 8 p.m. Saturday.

The 10K footrace will begin at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, with the 5K Run and Walk at 8 a.m. The races are expected to be finished by 9:30 a.m.
