Prep Talk | Socastee new No. 1 in boys soccer state rankings

March 18, 2013

Over the weekend, Myrtle Beach boys soccer coach Jason Himmelsbach called Region VII-AAA the best in the state.

He's not the only coach in South Carolina who thinks that.

Three teams - including No. 1 Socastee, No. 3 Myrtle Beach and No. 9 St. James - were among the top 15 in the statewide boys soccer rankings released Sunday night. It just so happens those three teams will kick off the week.

St. James will head to Socastee this evening before the Braves play at Myrtle Beach on Tuesday.
