Man arrested in February Five Points beating

— The 20-year-old man accused of fracturing a man’s jaw in a fight last month in Five Points has been arrested.

Donnell Rasheid Burney is charged with second-degree assault by mob, according to a Columbia Police Department release. He and other unknown suspects are accused of beating a man unconscious during a fight outside of The Library bar at 805 Harden Street about 2 a.m. February 16.

The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Burney is being held at Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center on a $75,000 bond.
