Filing opens at noon Friday for candidates running in a June 4 special election for the Richland 1 school board.
Candidates for the at-large seat may file at the Richland County Elections and Voter Registration Office, 2020 Hampton St. There is no filing fee.
The sign-up period ends at noon April 1.
The winner replaces the late Barbara Scott, and will serve the remainder of her term, through 2016.
