Dreher Pink Out Invitational

Saturday, 8 a.m.-8 p.m.

Dreher will host the third annual event at the softball field behind Memorial Stadium. The tournament honors former coach Elly Blacquiere, a breast cancer survivor. Teams from Dreher, Richland Northeast, Lexington, Indian Land and Goose Creek will participate.

Track and Field

SCTCCCA Coaches’ Classic

Saturday

More than 60 teams will descend on Lower Richland for this annual megameet. As track and field competition kicks into high gear, this individual competition is one of the first measuring sticks for state championship contenders. Ridge View’s SheKara Martin and Craishaud Foulks of Richland Northeast were among top performers at last year’s meet who will be returning this season.

Golf

Georgia-South Carolina Cup

Friday, 3 p.m.

The annual event pitting South Carolina’s finest boys golf teams against Georgia’s will tee off at the Willow Creek Golf Club. Defending champion A.C. Flora will represent South Carolina along with the squads from Dorman, Bishop England, Easley, Riverside, Boiling Springs, South Aiken and Gaffney.

Baseball

A.C. Flora vs. Lexington

Saturday, March 23 at AC Flora

The state’s top 4A squad, the Lexington Wildcats, faces off against the Class 3A top dog A.C. Flora Falcons at Flora. The Wildcats (9-1) are led by Nick Ciuffo and Reece Burnett and have won seven in a row. The Falcons notched three wins at the IP Classic.
