From staff and wire reportsMarch 21, 2013

The jackpot for Saturday's Powerball game jumped to $320 million after no players matched all six numbers drawn Wednesday night.

The jackpot will be the fifth-largest in the game’s history, with a lump-sum cash payout of $198 million. The odds of winning Saturday night’s jackpot are 1 in 179 million.

The top prize has been climbing since a Powerball player in Virginia won $217 million in the Feb. 6 drawing.

Powerball tickets cost $2 and are available at lottery retailers statewide.
