LEXINGTON-RICHLAND 5: Popular opinion in the pre-season held that this would be a rebuilding year for the Chapin High School varsity softball team. It appears no one shared that information with the team. After a 14-1 victory over Lower Richland, the girls moved to 5-0 to remain undefeated, as of March 15. That night's game was also a significant milestone for Jason Jolley, the varsity program’s head coach and a physical education teacher at Chapin Middle School. Friday night’s game marked the 100th time that the team has been victorious under Jolley. He has been the softball coach since 2009, accruing a 100-21 record over five years. This run has also included four consecutive region championships. Shown here: Jolley and the team. LEXINGTON-RICHLAND 5/USED WITH PERMISSION
