BOOK CLUB: The Lexington County Public Library, South Congaree-Pine Ridge branch, 200 Sunset Drive, West Columbia, hosts a book club at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday for adults ages 18 and older. The club will discuss “Life of Pi” by Yann Martel. Call (803) 785-3050

PRESENTATION & BOOK SIGNING: Jon Buchan will sign copies of his book “Code of the Forest” from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Books on Broad, 944 Broad St. Camden. SPEAKER AT THE CENTER SERIES: Hosted by the S.C. State Library’s Center for the Book, USC Press and Hub City Press, the series takes place during lunch and features a variety of authors. Discussions are from noon-1 p.m. at the S.C. State Library, 1500 Senate St. Upcoming discussions include Susan Tekulve, April 18; Aida Rogers, Cindi Boiter, Ceille Baird Welch and Billy Deal, May 16; and Tom Polland and Phil Sawyer, June 20.
