Slower traffic reported on I-77 near Blythewood this morning

April 6, 2013

— Motorists heading northbound on I-77 Saturday may want to take an alternate route near the town of Blythewood.

Drivers can expect slower traffic on the interstate in the areas between Killian and Blythewood roads, or exits 22 and 27.

The delays are believed to be caused by work being conducted on power lines in the area, said Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins with the S.C. Highway Patrol.

Alternate routes in the area include U.S. 321 or 21.
