CYCLING

The 2013 Palmetto Trail Challenge: The 15-week walking/biking contest is underway. Teams must consist of two people of any age and gender. Mileage must be submitted each Monday by 10 a.m. for the previous week. Dates for submitting mileage are Monday, April 22 and 29; May 6, 13, 20 and 27 and June 3, 10 and 17. Wofford Midlands Invitational: 11 a.m. registration and lunch; 12:30 p.m. shotgun start, Thursday at Spring Valley Country Club. Cost: $125 per person. All proceeds benefit the Wofford College Student Athlete Scholarship fund, and assist a student-athlete from Columbia

RUNNING/WALKING

Restoration Ranch 5K and Kids Fun Run: Bethel Worship Center hosts the 5K and Kids Fun Run to benefit the church’s restoration of “Restoration Ranch” in the Dominican Republic. Early registration is due by April 28. The event will be May 11, with 7 a.m. race day registration and packet pick up, 7:40 a.m. Kids Fun Run, and 8 a.m. 5K at 812 Fair St., Camden. Cost is $10 for Kids Fun Run, and $25 for the Run/Walk. The price goes up $10 after April 28. To register, visit www.strictlyrunning.com
