Columbia, SC — Our federal government wastes money we don’t have and now seems determined to show us just how much we need it by making reductions as painful as possible. Real leaders would set priorities, instill accountability and review all federal spending.
Yet we are told and taught more government is the answer. That teaching comes via an education system loaded with political activists who are called professors and teachers but who do more indoctrination than education. Ask one how long it takes to count to $17 trillion, our national debt. Allowing just one second per digit would take more than 500,000 years, and the plan is to add to that debt by continuing to overspend by $1 trillion a year.
Could the sluggish economy over the past five years be the new norm? There are more than 90 million people no longer in the work force. This is just a taste of how socialism looks and feels. We are living in a dying country wherein efforts to save it are shouted down by the intellectually superior progressives and those addicted, by design, to a life of dependence.
Control over those addicted mixed with indoctrination of thought makes for a subservient public. The problem with socialism is sooner or later you run out of other people’s money to spend.
