Sunday: Haley should help poor teens

April 21, 2013

— Gov. Nikki Haley chooses to make decisions and govern using anecdotal references rather than data provided by respectable and responsible research. That is evident in her recent attack on food-stamp recipients.

The governor should instead use her office to obtain summer employment for the 14-year-old daughter of a food stamp family. That $8-an-hour job during the summer would really help.
