Thursday letters: Does NRA favor bomb toting?

April 25, 2013

— Is the NRA’s Wayne Lapierre now going to jump at this new opportunity to promote carrying unchecked weapons everywhere, anywhere in the country? Will he make shrill use for his dubious purposes of the tragic bomb blasts among unwary spectators at the finish of the Boston Marathon?

Do we need good guys armed with bombs to combat bombings by bad guys — as permitted, maybe encouraged, he doubtless would judge, by his overreading of the Second Amendment?
