Glover, Faxon lead tourneys

— Lucas Glover (Greenville/Clemson) birdied his final hole Friday to take a one-stroke lead over Boo Weekley after the second round of the Zurich Classic.

Glover, the 2009 U.S. Open winner, shot a 5-under 67 to reach 12 under at TPC Louisiana. Weekley had a 68.

Guan Tianlang, the 14-year-old Chinese amateur playing on a sponsor exemption, followed his opening 72 with a 69 finish at 3 under and make the cut.

Faxon’s team ties for first

At Savannah, Ga., Brad Faxon’s steady putting helped the former Furman star and his teammate, Jeff Sluman, to 10 birdies and a one-shot lead in the Champions Tour’s Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf.

Masson struggles but keeps lead

At Irving, Texas, Caroline Masson bogeyed three of her final four holes for an even-par 71, leaving her with a one-stroke lead after the second round of the North Texas LPGA Shootout.

Swafford shoots 67

At Valdosta, Ga., Hudson Swafford fired a 67 to take the lead of the South Georgia Classic with an 8-under 69-67–136.

Two lead rainy Ballantine’s

At Seoul, South Korea, Wade Ormsby birdied two of his closing three holes to share the clubhouse lead with Arnond Vongvanij in the second round of the rain-affected Ballantine’s Championship.
