Tuesday letters: Children’s lives come before guns

April 30, 2013

— In his April 23 letter, “Gun owners must stand firm,” Ralph Boineau decries “Gun-hating politicians trotting out these poor, shell-shocked victims of gun violence and their family members in order to further their agenda.”

Excuse me? Maybe, just maybe, those politicians actually care about those 20 precious children and their teachers who were gunned down by a psychopath. Why are people so worried about their gun rights? Children have been killed. Keep your guns for hunting and self-protection. That is all anyone should need a gun for. If guns are all you can think about, get a hobby — go play golf or something.
