Palmetto Compress sold to Columbia Development Corp.

The Columbia Development Corp. became the official owners of the Palmetto Compress warehouse on Tuesday morning, the corporation’s director said.

Acting on behalf of City Council, the organization purchased the former cotton warehouse and 4.7 acres for $5.65 million, using money drawn from the city’s newly created economic development closing fund.
