Vice President Biden expected Friday at Congressman Clyburn’s fish fry

— Vice President Joe Biden is expected to attend U.S. Rep. Jim Clyburn’s “World Famous Fish Fry” as a special guest Friday.

Held the same night as the S.C. Democratic Party’s Jefferson-Jackson dinner, the fish fry will start at 7 p.m. in the Carolina Field House, 941 S. Stadium Road.

This year, Clyburn, now in his 11th term in the U.S. House of Representatives, is honoring his supporters who helped him complete 20 years in Congress, according to a release from his office.

“The crowd will be bigger and I will have the special honor of sharing the stage with my good friend Joe Biden, but the event is being held with the same sense of gratitude as that first fish fry held in the parking lot of my campaign headquarters so many years ago,” Clyburn said.

Biden also attended the fish fry in 2007.
