Myrtle Beach gentleman’s club owner wanted on kidnapping, sexual assault charges

May 4, 2013

Horry County police are searching for a man suspected in the rape of a 19-year-old woman at his home in February, according to authorities.

Police issued arrest warrants for John Sachs, owner of Chez Joey, a gentleman’s club in Myrtle Beach, in connection with the Feb. 9 incident, Sgt. Robert Kegler said. The warrants charge Sachs with kidnapping and criminal sexual conduct, police said.

Horry County police were called early Feb. 10 to Conway Medical Center, where the victim was being treated, according to the report. The victim told officers that she had worked as a waitress for Sachs for two weeks and that he raped her when she went to his home after he asked for a ride to the airport.
