White Knoll lives to see another game

May 6, 2013

White Knoll stayed alive in the Class 4A Lower State softball tournament with a 4-1 elimination game win over Wando. The Timberwolves (23-8) will play on the road on Wednesday with a berth in the championship round at stake.

Savannah Terrapin and the WK bats rebounded from a disappointing showing in Saturday’s first-round loss to Bluffton. Terrapin improved to 17-5 with a solid effort in the circle and the attack perked up with Megan Anderson belting two home runs.

“It was a great performance by Savannah and we got some timely hitting,” said WK coach David Smith. “We live to play another day.”
