Tuesday letters: Gun, neglect killed girl

May 7, 2013

After reading the account of the 5-year-old Kentucky boy killing his sister in a horrible accident, the old chestnut came to mind that “guns don’t kill people, people do.”

That boy did not kill his sister — a gun killed her. The blame is squarely on a loaded gun and parents who did not exact the highest cautionary actions to prevent something this tragic from occurring.
