Sunday letters: Vang touched many lives

May 12, 2013

— There are untold numbers of people who were touched by the life and good deeds of Freddy Vang, former director of the state Water Resources Commission.

Some words I once read, whose author I cannot remember, convey the feelings of all who knew this good man:

One of high intellect may be admired; one of great wealth is often envied; the powerful are most often feared; but the man blessed with a good heart is remembered always, and the good heart leaves a legacy carried by those it has touched.

Thanks, Freddy.
