Traveling Vietnam Wall comes to Sumter, SC

— The Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall is scheduled to visit the City of Sumter May 23 to May 28 during to the Sumter Iris Festival at Swan Lake Iris Gardens.

An official dedication ceremony for the wall is scheduled Friday, May 24 at 5:30 p.m. with intended speakers including local elected officials and Team Shaw senior leadership.

The wall will be open to the public over the course of the weekend, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The wall's appearance in Sumter marks the only planned stop in the state of South Carolina for 2013.
