Police have arrested a man after shots were fired near the Devine Street Applebee's Wednesday evening.

Carvea Bernard Washington, 24, is charged with unlawful carrying of a pistol and pointing and presenting a firearm. He is one of at least two people involved in a shooting in the restaurant's parking lot. He is also expected to be charged with discharging a firearm in city limits.

Police responded to the scene about 9 p.m. Wednesday after getting a shots-fired call. When they arrived, they couldn't find any victims at the scene, and there was no evidence that anyone was injured in the shooting.

Officers found the weapon Washington is suspected of using in the shooting, and the department is trying to find any addtional suspects. Investigators are also trying to determine a motive for the shooting.
