Coker wins NCAA Southeast Region title

At Mount Olive, N.C., the No. 4 seed Coker Cobras rode

a complete-game performance by senior left-hander Dan Meyer to a 7-2 victory over No. 5 seed Georgia College and the NCAA Division II Southeast Region title on Sunday.

The Cobras (38-14) move on to the NCAA Division II Championship Saturday-June 1 in Cary, N.C.

Meyer (8-3) scattered nine hits, allowed two runs and struck out six. Fico Kondla and Keith Wolf led the way with three hits and an RBI each.
