The following will be closed in observance of Memorial Day.

GOVERNMENT

• Federal offices will be closed Monday.

• Fort Jackson offices will be closed Monday.

• State government offices will be closed Monday.

• Richland County offices will be closed Monday.

• Lexington County offices will be closed Monday.

• Kershaw County offices will be closed Monday.

• Columbia city offices will be closed Monday.

• Forest Acres city offices will be closed Monday.

• Lexington town offices will be closed Monday.

• West Columbia town hall and city offices will be closed Monday.

• Cayce city town hall and city offices will be closed Monday.

• Irmo town offices will be closed Monday.

• Batesburg-Leesville offices will be closed Monday.

• Springdale town offices will be closed Monday.

• The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles will be closed Monday.

SERVICES/BANKS

• Post offices will be closed Monday.

• Many banks and credit unions will be Monday. Check with your branch to verify.

• SCE&G will be closed Monday.

• Mid-Carolina Electric will be closed Monday.

• Palmetto Utilities Inc. will be closed Monday.

• Lexington’s Joint Municipal Water and Sewer Commission offices will be closed Monday.

• There will be no Central Midlands RTA bus service Monday.

• Richland County Recreation Commission offices, recreation and community centers will be closed Monday; LinRick golf course will be open.

• The South Carolina Education Lottery offices and claims center will be closed Monday.

LIBRARIES/MUSEUMS/ZOO

• Richland Library, including the main library and all branch locations, will be closed Sunday and Monday.

• Lexington County Public Library System, including all branch locations, will be closed Monday.

• Kershaw County Library will be closed Monday.

THE STATE

• The State newspaper’s advertising, business and circulation departments will be closed Monday. In the event of a delivery problem, customer representatives are available 6-9:30 a.m. at (800) 888-3566.
