Sunday letters: SCE&G fixated on nuclear plants

June 9, 2013

— In 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 SCE&G has asked for more money from ratepayers to finance the construction of new nuclear reactors (“SCE&G asks for rate hike for nuclear plants,” June 1).

While hot rods pile up in utility pools and the Department of Energy tries in vain to find an “interim” home for them, SCE&G pours money into new facilities that will generate a whole bunch more.

Does this make sense to anybody but SCE&G?
