Midlands players selected for all-star baseball teams

Five Midlands players are on the S.C. Select baseball team that will play the North Carolina All-Stars on June 19 at 8 p.m. and June 20 at 2 p.m. at the University of North Carolina Charlotte.

Midlands players on the team are: Thomas Bessinger, Blythewood; Nick Pappas, Dutch Fork; Drew Moyer, Gilbert; Josh Regan, Lexington; and Gene Cone, Spring Valley.

The S.C. High School Baseball All-Star North/South baseball games will be played Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach.

Midlands baseball players include: North 4A/A: Zach Hamilton, Blythewood and Chase Haas, Spring Valley. For the South 4A/A team, Midlands players are: Ethan Hinkle, Dutch Fork; Cole McMillan, Lexington; Dalton Addy, Lexington; and Will Smith and Taylor McFaddin, Sumter.

On the North 3A/2A team are: Jake Lewis, A.C. Flora; Barrett Charpia and Brandon White, Chapin; John Stone, Dreher; Jeremy Harman, Lower Richland; Hunter Hill, Mid-Carolina; and Parker Little, Newberry

On the South team 3A/2A are: Casey Parker and Caleb Talton, Airport; DeAndre Asbury-Heath, Brookland Cayce and Corey Sox, Swansea.
