Thursday letters: Homosexuality, Scouts don’t mix

June 13, 2013

In his Tuesday letter, “Boy Scouts made right decision,” Robert Milling seems think that I should set aside my church teaching and except homosexuals in the Boy Scouts. My church has a large Scout troop. We teach that homosexuality is a sin, like any other sin, and that our God will forgive if you repent and change your ways.

Kleptomaniacs think they are born to steal and can’t help it. Are we to teach that it is OK if we think we were born that way, or should we change our ways and repent?
