BOOK SIGNING & RECEPTION: South Carolina Author Dorothea Benton Frank signs copies of her book “The Last Original Wife” Monday at noon at the Newberry Opera House, 1201 McKibben St., Newberry. Books will be on sale following the signing and reception. (803) 276-6264

PRESENTATION & BOOK SIGNING: The Columbia Museum of Art, 1515 Main St., presents “Found in Translation,” a presentation and book signing by Steven Naifeh Tuesday. Cocktail hour begins at 6 p.m.; followed by the presentation and signing at 7 p.m. The cost is $5 for students, $10 for members and $12 for non-members. (803) 799-2810

SPEAKER AT THE CENTER: The final installment of the series, hostsed by the S.C. State Library’s Center for the Book, USC Press and Hub City Press, features Tom Polland and Phil Sawyer from noon-1 p.m. Thursday at the S.C. State Library, 1500 Senate St., (803) 734-8666

BOOK SIGNING: Books-A-Million at Village at Sandhill hosts a book signing featuring the authors of “Paparazzi Princesses” at 6:30 p.m. Friday. This is a ticketed event, and each person must have a book in order to enter the line. (803) 788-4349

SUMMER READING PROGRAM: The Kershaw County Library’s Summer Reading Program runs through Aug. 15. Afternoon programs are offered throughout each week in all branches for children ages 6-11. Visit kershawcountylibrary.org for more information.
