Friday letters: Country bound for tyranny

June 21, 2013

How can the American people have one iota of trust and confidence in this president and his scandal-ridden administration when they continue to rule, as opposed to govern, against the will of the people?

They rule by executive order, bullying, intimidation, harassment, regulations and every corrupt and unconstitutional means they can devise. They have no respect for the truth. They seek to destroy any and all opposition. When caught with their pants down, they blame low-level staffers, Bush and Congress; they obfuscate, stonewall and employ the strategy of plausible deniability.

Many Americans are perfectly content to bask in the warmth and glow of the president’s messianic presence, as long as he keeps the gravy trains fully loaded and running on schedule, while the country continues down the road to tyranny under this administration. When will we ever learn? Or is it already too late?
