The Jaguar F-Type is the car manufacturer’s first true new sports car model in half a century. No wonder there was so much buzz surrounding the global unveiling. Karla Chickering of Hampton Jaguar, a local Jaguar dealership, will discuss the new design at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Columbia Museum of Art as part of the Columbia Design League’s “Meet the Designer” series. Movie in the park

“Red, White & Bling”
The 2013 Fourth of July celebration on Lake Murray begins with a boat parade at noon Saturday. The boats will meet at Bomb Island, and the theme is “Red, White & Bling.” Spectators can watch from the Lake Murray Dam or on their boats.
