Columbia man sought in June 17 home invasion, kidnapping

— Columbia police say that Javier D. Ferguson is armed and dangerous.

The18-year-old is wanted on charges of armed robbery, kidnapping and conspiracy stemming from an alleged home invasion June 17 in southeast Columbia.

Three men broke into a Hazelwood Acres home on Carolina Rose Court, off Garners Ferry Road, tied up a resident with duct tape and stole electronics, phones, a credit card and shoes, Columbia police said.

Two other suspects in the home invasion, Justin McCoy, 19, and Mitchell Barber, 18, were arrested earlier.

Ferguson’s last known address was on Nottingham Court in Columbia.
