Wells Fargo donates $5,000 to USC Aiken

Wells Fargo has donated $5,000 to the University of South Carolina Aiken to start a new program to teach middle school students about science and math.

The grant will enable about 245 sixth-grade students from Sego Middle School, a Title I school in Richmond County, Ga., to attend a series of field trips to the Ruth Patrick Science Education Center at USC Aiken in September.

Called the Wells Fargo STEM Success Project, the program is designed to increase middle school students’ interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
