Gaston man arrested, child removed from home after drug raid

July 2, 2013

GASTON, SC Acting on a tip, Lexington County authorities on Monday raided a home on the 1800 block of Village Court in Gaston looking for a methamphetamine lab. A search of the residence turned up two glass mason jars and a plastic funnel that the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department described as part of a methamphetamine laboratory.

A 13-year-old boy who was found watching TV in a bedroom at the time of the raid was placed with a relative. Arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and unlawful conduct toward a child was Robert Fleet Pendleton, 34, of 1812 Village Court, Gaston.

Pendleton was being held at the Lexington County Detention Center Tuesday afternoon, awaiting a bond hearing.
