Penny tax advisory committee meeting Tuesday

— The advisory committee convened to oversee administration of the county’s so-called “Transportation Penny” proceeds will hold a work session next week.

Chairman Hayes Mizzell will call the meeting to order at 2 p.m. July 9 in the fourth-floor conference room at the county’s offices at 2020 Hampton St., Columbia.

On the agenda is an overview of CMRTA’s use of the tax income from director Bob Schneider, a review of the committees duties and a question and answer session. The next meeting will be July 15.
