Dan Rummel, a Lexington resident, has been installed as a member of the historic Pendleton Farmers Society. Rummel is a 2013 graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural mechanization and business. He was also named recipient of the Phi Kappa Phi Certificate of Merit for the College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences, which is given to a senior with a 3.4 or higher GPA. Rummel has begun his professional career in agribusiness with ArborOne Farm Credit Association, an agricultural credit cooperative serving agriculturalists in the Pee Dee.
