Woman killed in I-20 crash identified

The woman killed in a collision on I-20 near Broad River Road Tuesday evening has been identified by Richland County Coroner Gary Watts.

Sharon S. Grate, 48, died from a pre-existing medical condition before her car swerved and hit a concrete barrier near mile marker 66, Watts said. The crash did not play a role in her death.

The state Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
