LEXINGTON CO. SHERIFF'S OFFICE

— A 32-year-old Orangeburg man working at the Amazon Fulfillment Center in West Columbia was charged Friday with stealing three cell phones worth $1,224 between May 6 and May 11, 2013.

Sedrick Sharron Guest worked in the distribution center warehouse as an employee of SMX Staffing, which employs workers at Amazon facilities across the country.

He was accused of stealing one Samsung Galaxy S-4 and two Samsung Galaxy S-3 mini cellular telephones from Amazon’s inventory, the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release. When he was arrested, Guest had one of the phones on him and told deputies that he had sold another one at a cellular store in Orangeburg.

Guest was charged with petit larceny and released on bond Friday.
