This week’s public meetings in the Midlands

Richland County

Government

Columbia City Council: At 9 a.m. Tuesday, the Public Safety Committee will hear a presentation on the Columbia-Richland 911 Communications Center. At 2 p.m. Tuesday, the Arts & Historic Preservation Committee will discuss a demolition delay ordinance. Both meetings will be held in the Parking Services Conference Room, 820 Washington St.

Richland County Council: 4:30 p.m. Tuesday is the rules and appointments committee, followed at 5 p.m. by the economic development committee and at 6 p.m. by a meeting of the full council, all at the Richland County Administration Building, 2020 Hampton St. in Columbia.

Lexington County

Government

Lexington Town Council: 6 p.m. Monday at Town Hall, 111 Maiden Lane

West Columbia Board of Zoning Appeals: 6 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, 200 N. 12th St.

South Congaree Town Council: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Town Hall, 119 W. Berry Road

Irmo Town Council: 7 p.m. Tuesday at Town Hall, 7300 Woodrow St.

Summit Town Council: 8 p.m. Tuesday at Town Hall, 321 Old Broad St.

Schools

Lexington-Richland 5 School Board: 7 p.m. Monday at Center for Advanced Technical Studies, 916 Mount Vernon Church Road, Chapin

Lexington 1 School Board: 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at district headquarters, 100 Tarrar Springs Road, Lexington
