Pet of the Week

City of Columbia

Meet Lucy – or affectionately referred to by many at the Animal Shelter as Lucy Lou. She is a 2-year-old Smooth Collie mix and extremely good-natured. She is so sweet and well-behaved that she is often pulled into dog training sessions to assist with other dogs. Now that’s pretty special! She will make a great addition to any home. She loves other animals and people. Lucy is spayed, micro-chipped, has tested negative for heartworms and is vaccinated.

Come visit Lucy and her friends at the Columbia Animal Shelter, located at 127 Humane Lane, off Shop Road. For more information, please call (803) 776-7387.

Please remember that all of our pets need loving homes. To view other animals available for adoption, visit Petfinder.com.

“Pet of the Week” is a (nearly) weekly public service published by The State in partnership with the Columbia Animal Shelter. The pets are chosen by the shelter staff, who also write the descriptions. Call the shelter at the number provided in the description or check Petfinder.com to find out if a featured pet is still available for adoption.
