Irmo bookie murder case to be featured on NBC

— The double-murder case involving an Irmo bookie will be featured Friday night on “Dateline.”

The show airs at 9 p.m. on NBC and features interviews with friends of Tammy Jo Parker and the Richland County Sheriff’s Department’s lead investigator on the case.

Brett Parker was convicted of two counts of murder for shooting and killing his wife, Tammy Jo, and his sports betting clerk, Bryan Capnerhurst. Parker is serving life without parole.

The trial gripped the Midlands with testimony about two murders, sports gambling and illicit affairs.

The CBS news magazine “48 Hours” also is planning a feature on the case. It has not released an air date.
